My man woke up with running nose. We were up at 6am this morning to bring the girls to a local Christian school. The girls were going to join its Girls Brigade sessions. The place is only about 7,8 km away from where we stay. With only the infamous Bangkok traffic jam in our way, we planned to leave early.
Bela commented she felt weird seeing boys in school. Hmmm! It makes me wonder whether I made the right choice when I sent her to an all-girls school in Singapore. Both of them commented that the school’s different from that in Singapore, but they enjoyed it.
The school is not an international school, but it certainly does have an international flavour to it. The student population is made up of Thais, as well as foreigners. Bela said she made many friends today, including a Korean girl, who was surprised to learn that Bela was into the Korean drama ‘Goong’. Lessons are taught in English and Thai at a weightage of 50 percent each. Lunch is provided in the school. They had rice with meat and egg today. Bela and Priscilla looked forward to joining the school’s GB again next Friday. Thank God for this opportunity on Fridays to supplement their homeschooling curriculum! We were so excited we decided to buy the uniform. This is when we found out, Oh my, Bela’s waist is 25 inches already! How she has grown! I am so proud of her
Even though Mel was down, he endured the pain throughout the day, persevering through the lessons and rushing to fetch the girls. We came back home at 3pm. It was more tiring than we thought. We’re glad sending them and picking them up from school is not a daily event. Oh! How I miss the trustworthy taxi drivers in Singapore! And our faithful Uncle Thomas from SJSM, who had been so kind to fetch the girls from school when we were busy.
NB: for a distance of 7,8 km, it took us 30min to get there but 1 hr to get back to city centre. And people are commenting that we got back very fast!
