Winter in Canada

I have lived in the tropical island for more than 30 yrs, and have survived 40 ºC heat in India.  But somehow, I enjoyed battling the cold winter in Canada.  I am new to this land, and have a lot to learn about winter, snow and ice.  Somehow, I embraced all these challenges with gladness.  I am wondering if there is something got to do with Mongolian heritage.

My grandparent was supposed to be from the northern China.  In those warlord days, there are hardly any food there, and they came down to the south where food are plenty.  Very soon, they ended up in Malaya.

Perhaps that is the reason why I am alright with the cold.  But perhaps, it was the training I have with SAF (military), that is, to be prepared in every situation.  I always research on the subject matter before embarking them. Thus, I always dress slightly more than sufficient in the cold, and have no problem with the snow or ice.  Even the Canadian said that I am over-reacting.
